For machines outside the warranty period, Klaris offers a service option for $99. This cost covers shipping of the unit back and forth as well as time and materials to remedy the issue. To start a service inquiry, please contact us at and provide your order number and reason for servicing. Items sent back to Klaris without first requesting servicing and receiving an authorization from Klaris will not be accepted.

General Limitations:

Servicing by Klaris is only offered for US customers. Products used outside the US must be returned to the US at the owner’s expense. Shipping expenses, duties and any other charges that occur with sending a repaired or replaced product back to the owner, outside of the US, are the liability of the owner.

After purchase of the service, Klaris will email a return shipping label to the email on file. Please ship the machine back in its original packaging or use a sturdy, shippable cardboard box with at least 2” of bubble wrap on all sides. The carton used to ship the machine should be able to hold at least 55 lbs. Any damage in transit, including scratches, breaks and indentation in the housing of the machine is NOT covered by this servicing.

Once Klaris receives the machine, please allow for up to 10 business days for servicing to be completed as timing is dependent on service volume and issue complexity. The following activities are performed on all machines undergoing service:

  1. Entry diagnostic
  2. Identification of the failure
  3. Exchange/rework of defective components
  4. Software update
  5. Testing of all functions
  6. Exit diagnostic
  7. Final cleaning

A warranty after service of 12 months will apply only to parts replaced during repair. If the machine is unserviceable, Klaris will replace the machine with the same model with the same or less usage. Once servicing is complete, an email confirmation and tracking information will be sent to the email on file.

Important information regarding refurbished/serviced machines:

Before leaving Klaris facilities, all refurbished and serviced clear ice makers go through an internal audit and a full ice making cycle with water. Each unit is then cleaned thoroughly, but there may still be some residues of water in/on the machine. This is normal and helps to ensure that the product you are receiving functions properly and is free from any defects.
